Green hydrogen is hydrogen generated by renewable energy and has has significantly lower carbon emissions than grey hydrogen, which is produced by steam reforming of natural gas, which makes up the bulk of the hydrogen market. Green hydrogen can be used to decarbonize sectors which are hard to electrify, such as steel and cement production.

Grassroots Energy has significant expertise in biogas generation, feedstock processing set up and slurry processing in an efficient way.
Phoebus Power is the proud recipient of the BEIS grant for Phase 1 of the Hydrogen BECCS Innovation Competition for its tender on feasibility study for the generation of Biohydrogen using dark fermentation and photo fermentation from 4 potential feedstocks – Straw, Food Waste, Animal Bedding and Energy Crops (grass).
